The Porsche 959.
The 959 paired a twin-sequentially-turbocharged flat-six with a computer-controlled all-wheel-drive system that could vary its front-to-rear torque split, previewing technology Porsche later used across the 911 Carrera 4 range.
Group B road rallying was cancelled before the car's intended category existed, but 959-based cars still finished first and second at the 1986 Paris-Dakar rally.
